Public Meeting on Monday 12th September

Monday 12th September 2005
8 pm - Ladywell Leisure Centre
261 Lewisham High Street SE13 6NY
Summer holiday are almost behind us, but we haven't been still and we have a lot of new material to work with.
It's time to reflect together on the best way forward, to make the Council accountable for its decisions and to correct them for the better.
We can save the Ladywell Leisure Centre and avoid the consequences of a hypocritical and incompetent decision that will, if allowed to proceed, build a school in the wrong place, leave 100,000 people without a swimming pool/leisure centre for who knows how many years and deny the children of the north of the borough their right to a secondary school place at a nearby school.
And all this at a cost of £22m of our tax money.
We're on the right track to achieve that critical mass of evidence that will force the Council to take a look at itself and feel ashamed.
There is just enough time to do it between now and the next Council election in May 2006.
It's a civic duty!
