About Us

In 2004Lewisham Council announced plans to demolish Ladywell Leisure Centre in 2007 - we saved it! The pool will stay open until the forecast replacement is ready.  Sadly the plan is awfully inadequate and instead of being a plan for a community sport and leisure centre it is a plan for a lifestyle pool for the new residential developments to be built in front of Lewisham Station.

Thanks to the 15,000 leaflets delivered during last week we can now be sure that the people of Lewisham is fully informed about what our campaign has achieved up to now and what to expect for the future.

This future is of course entirely dependent on the determination of the people of Lewisham to assert its opposition to the Mayor's plans.

Only 8 months separate us from next elections and the will of the people has now the best chances to be respected.
