About Us

In 2004Lewisham Council announced plans to demolish Ladywell Leisure Centre in 2007 - we saved it! The pool will stay open until the forecast replacement is ready.  Sadly the plan is awfully inadequate and instead of being a plan for a community sport and leisure centre it is a plan for a lifestyle pool for the new residential developments to be built in front of Lewisham Station.

And what's more embarrassing than the new school/Ladywell Pool disaster?

That's why page 23 has at the bottom a note saying that a full Q&A on the pool/school issue is available on request.

So we did.

We contacted the freedom of information office and asked for it.

We waited a bit longer then the lawful 20 working days, but here it is.

And it was worth waiting for. With one chapter entitled:

"blame"?

this document stands apart from any other and setting a new standard in official lines it deserves to be known by the masses. ...read more...
